First published in 1976, the Good News Bible was released under the title The Good News Bible: The Bible in Today’s English Version. The Good News Translation (GNT), also known as the Good News Bible (GNB) and Today’s English Version (TEV), is the first Bible that consistently applied the principles of Dynamic Equivalence. This means that it translated the meaning of the text, rather than the words of the text. In this way, the Bible user does not have to be familiar with traditional biblical terms to understand what the Word of God says. PBS offers a wide variety of GNT products:
GNT is also available in the New Testament with the Books of Psalms and in Tagalog-English Diglot. Inserts include Word List, Subject Index, Maps, and many others! |
